Farm Happenings for November 9, 2020

Posted on November 5th, 2020 by Tim Vrieselaar

Our first week of Winter deliveries worked out great!  Tim took one route and Rebecca took the other one.  Hopefully everyone had their shares arrive in good order.  PLEASE PLEASE HAVE YOUR COOLERS READY!  As the weather cools down we do not want your lettuce freezing before you get it indoors!  (We are considering insulated boxes for next year so that no one needs cooler reminders)

The fruit share changes looked good from our side of the labels...curious if you are happy with the fruit share running as a "you choose" system for this winter?  We saw a nice variety of apples and pears going out.  As soon as it is cold enough we will add the frozen blueberries and raspberries to the list. But we don't want them to thaw before they arrive by you.

This week sees Remembrance Day.  I know there are no services....but please take a moment to wear your poppy and thank a veteran or a peacekeeper for their service to land and country to keep us free.

Greetings from our family to yours!
