Farm Happenings for the week of August 22, 2020

Posted on August 19th, 2020 by Jessica Foote

Hello all,

We are finally starting the corn harvest. The cobs will be small from our early planting of corn because they suffered a great deal from the drought, but I don't want to waste them so lets enjoy without judgement! The 2nd & 3rd plantings will be more what you are used to seeing at the grocery store!

We have Jp's kale and chard from his new farm Field Farmstead this week! His new farm endeavor has overwhelmed him in these departments and I didn't want to see the harvest go to waste! We will also have Wheelbarrow Farms rainbow beets as he has an over abundance and I am sure you'd enjoy a colorful plate of beets salad.

New this week are bags of mixed sweet pepper's, pints of hot peppers, and delicata squash! We also have available Haywood Farm & Orchards ground cherries!

Cheers your farmer,

Jess
