The big Harvests are coming in

Posted on July 25th, 2019 by Michael Moss

Here at the end of July we are bringing in the big harvests.

We have brought in our hard neck garlics, soft neck garlics and shallots. This week we are also getting into our next succession of carrots with the bolero and the deep purple. Before you know it we will be knee deep in cucumbers, peppers, watermelons and cantaloupes. This is an exciting time of year as so much of the hard work is turning into more and more amazing food. The payoff is super sweet when you're a farmer.

I want to let you know that we have not forgotten about the requests for lettuce. Every week we are planting lettuce to turn into our salad mixes. This is not a fast process as our lettuce takes 60 days to mature. We are looking at a return to good volumes of lettuce in late August. Once these large succession will be ready to harvest, we will add it back to your shares. Thanks for the patience and enjoy the summers bounty.
