Chris is pictured here cultivating the second squash/zucchini planting with the Farmall A. We plant green beans between the squash plants to allow for a bit more space between the huge plants which improves airflow and makes harvest a bit easier.
Our squash has not been nearly as prolific as the zucchini. If you're like us, you're eating a lot of zucchini these days! I've been using a spiralizer to make "zoodles" in place of pasta. Instead of boiling them, I like to sautee them in butter and olive oil with plenty of fresh garlic and few pinches of salt and minced basil. Then stir them into pasta sauce.
We've got boxes of tomato "seconds" for sale this week. They are 10 lb. for $18. You can find them under the "extras" and as always you have until Thursday morning at 6 am to make changes to your share such as adding extras or swapping items.
