After the longest wait ever our beefsteak slicing tomatoes are finally pouring in! With the slow ripening, and a brief period of the plants looking stunted we didn't have much hope for a good harvest but they've pulled through and we have them available in bulk this week if you'd like a 10 lb box for preserving. Also, after using Harvie for almost a year now I learned how the swap process actually works! I was frustrated last week because we had sooooo many tomatoes on the availability but they were not showing up as an option to swap for. I learned why: if a member already has the product in their share it doesn't show up on the swap list. If they want more, they click the plus button and then they can remove another item in the share if they don't want to have a swap charge (since adding another lb. of tomatoes would put the share over the value paid). Hope that makes sense.
