What Keeps Farmers Busy in the Winter
Text:
More of the wonderful same! We have a nice variety of greens and storage crops. And we still have tomatoes! This week's freezing temps will put an end to summer crops. We are in cleanup mode, tucking in beds for the winter. We will also be planting garlic this week. Garlic overwinters and is harvested in July. Consider adding extras to your share this week for the holidays. Storage crops can last for months. The extras get billed to your credit card on file.
This week wraps up the 2022 CSA season. We hope you have enjoyed the season extension! It has been a bountiful harvest season. Thank you so much for supporting our farm business and our family. We will see you next spring for another wonderful season!
Remember...the bins are filled based on the items on your list. Please follow your list or you will be shorting someone else's items, particularly for greens. You can customize your list online Mon-Tues. If you really want to swap something during pickup, please choose potatoes, sweet potatoes or butternut squash, as these bins are not counted items.
