Pop-Up Week #1-A

Posted on September 22nd, 2021 by Bonnie and Rudy Geber

Hi All - This is our first 'Pop-Up' Farm Stand of the season. Thus far, all of the Farm Stand boxes that we have done have been in addition to our CSA, which ended today. So, with the temps cooling and the daylight hours waning, the total number of boxes that we put out each week will also be on the decline. But for now, we still have LOTS of produce and so we'd love to keep a bunch of boxes rolling into the next few weeks. The pic above is a little misleading because we actually didn't put any winter squash into our harvest estimate this week. Most of the remainder of our winter squash is available at the Amish Farm to Market Store, and the odds and ends that we still have we'll be bringing to the Harvest Festival and farmers market. BUT, we were just too proud of that pallet box delivery not to use at least one more pic!

It's a short and sweet update from this week because we're tired!! It's been a major week so far and we're still prepping for the Kootenai Harvest Festival on Saturday at Riverfront Park, 12-6.

So without further adieu...go on into Harvie and grab a Farm Stand box for pick up next week - either at market (Thursday 3 - 6:30) or on farm (Friday 2-5). DON'T miss out on the excellent additions to our produce, we've got farm fresh eggs from the Miller Farm, delicious bread and bagels from the Gracious Table, and super-sweet honey from McLaury Apiaries. This week we also have bulk quantities of red & yellow storage onions and garlic.

Cheers, Rudy & Bonnie

PS. We expect the format of this Farm Stand to be a little bit different from what you may be used to since it's an updated version from those tied to a CSA. Please be patient with the system and let us know if you have any issues. We're usually able to work them out from our end or at the very least Macguyver some sort of a work around! One tip that has been very useful is if you are having trouble with the Harvie system in your usual browser, try a different one, often the issue is a hiccup with a certain browser - those are still being worked out and hopefully Harvie will be over the hiccups soon, lol!
