Sept 7 Farm Happening

Posted on September 2nd, 2023 by Greg Stainton

Howdy Folks!

Summer holidays are over and the kids are back to school but you still have eight weeks left of awesome organic groceries in your Harmony Farm main season share!

This week we have produce from some of our faithful producers like peppers, kale and tomatoes, a few new kids on the block (baby romaine and swiss chard) and the return of a few crowd favourites (spinach and carrots).

We have also partnered with Red Barn Naturals and will be offering their raw, unpasteurized honey as an “extra” to add to your weekly order. This is part of our vision of offering a more full service grocery experience featuring locally grown and produced products that are healthy and good for the planet. We will also soon be adding JCB Gourmet mushrooms, hopefully within the month of September.

We are starting to think about our next garden season...winter! We are planning to plant cold hardy veggies (eg arugula, spinach, scallions, carrots) in a cold greenhouse and to re-start our microgreens so that we can offer fresh, organic local veggies in the winter months. Would any of you be interested in continuing to receive a weekly Farm Share this winter?

Please let us know what you think!

Have a great week.

Greg and Kate.
