Greetings to all!

For those of you who had their first week's order, we hope you enjoyed all your food so far. For those who are just starting out your season, welcome!

This last week marked our FIRST week working as a new team, in a new location, with new systems. It has come with its challenges, like all new great things, but we are learning, adapting and staying nimble each day. Thank you to everyone for their flexibility, understanding and support.

Speaking of new staff, we'd like to introduce some of our newest members to the Fresh Start Farms Community!

Chouiab missed the photo op but we are lucky to have him as well!

Pick Up and Delivery Instructions

Safety is a number one priority for us and we have updated our Pick-Up and Home Delivery protocols in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although we wish things were very different, until things level out a bit, almost all interactions with staff, farmers and food will be in the form of "No-Contact".

Please review this PICK UP and DELIVERY 2020 INFORMATION

This guide is to help you understand the flow of pick-ups, days and times for locations and guidance on what to do if you are missing an item in your box (sometimes it happens, we're all human!)

FruitShare Update!

As with most CSA programs, seasonality is both a blessing and a curse! When fresh fruits are available the quality is unlike anything you can find in the grocery store. Currently we are about 18-21 days away from strawberry season locally, quickly followed with cherries, raspberries and plums. In the meantime, with our goal and mission to support local agriculture, we have been sourcing apples for the fruit shares. Some folks have reached out and said they received too many apples to use, which we totally understand.

With that being said, in order to diversify our offerings and make sure folks don't drown in apples, we are going to be sourcing some berries and fruits from the Mid-Atlantic and South. As soon as we have local fruit we will let you all know.

For this week you can expect: Strawberries & Blueberries
