Farm Happenings for July 25, 2023

Posted on July 23rd, 2023 by Stephanie Bradshaw

Week 12~

This week we have melons...watermelon and cantaloupes to be exact!  Spoiler Alert...it's "possible" that these melons will not be the sweetest that you have ever had.  When it's hot and dry - the melons are super sweet, but when it's rainy, it tends to dilute the flavor.  Strange how that works, but it's true!  However, you won't catch us complaining about the rain! :)

Just a few housekeeping notes to remember:  Unfortunately,  we are unable to hold your share if you are unable to pick up.  It's a hardship on the host - and since the veggies are perishable, we have no way of keeping them cool.  Please send a friend or family member to pick up your share if you are going to be late, otherwise we will donate the share that has not been pick up to someone who is in need.

October 28th is our Family Farm Day!  This will be a wonderful day to come see the farm in Scottsville, KY (just a little over an hour North of Nashville), meet your famer and see how your food is grown.  It's a low key day where you can walk around the farm, pick some produce, meet other CSA members and enjoy farm life for an afternoon!

Our Summer Season will go through the middle of August and then we will take a short break as we prepare for the Fall Season which begins in late September.  The Fall Season will run four weeks.

Thank you for your continued support and encouragement!  We are so thankful for everyone of you!
