Summertime is fruit-time and here at Beech Creek Orchards it is popping out all over...this week the plums, peaches, cantaloupes and the first of the apples are starting to ripen. Gems in the woods... the wonderful Chanterelles are popping out this month. Found under shady trees in the woods, our foragers are braving the ticks that are on a total rampage this year. These mushrooms are wonderful sautéed in a little butter and available for a limited time. read more »

Once in a blue moon... Our plums here at Beech Creek Orchards are sooo wonderful and tasty but their appearance in our CSA boxes come rarely as they so often get frozen back. But we do have a bold new venture here in Georgia with a guy named Brad Swancy (Riverview Farms) … our supplier of the most awesome grits and cornmeal is now growing hemp as well.... read more »
