Growwings On 12/10/18

It's been a very cold, wet week on the farm.  There's something about coming home bone cold that exhausts me way more than being out in the heat.  I can wear 4 or 5 layers, my core will stay warm, but my hands and feet feel like pieces of lead.  Give me the heat any day!

Things are winding down for the year - there's just one more weekly harvest pickup before the holidays!  I have to admit, I'm really looking forward to the down time.  We'll be pushing this week to plant the high tunnel in the quick turn crops that will show up in the first winter shares, and then we'll be done until things kick off for winter season in January.

I'm waiting to hear whether I'll have funding to attend the Southern SAWG conference at the end of January - if I do, the winter season will start February 1st.  If not, we'll start January 15th.  Regardless, one of the awesome features of Harvie is that you don't need to worry about missing the registration - you're automatically included in the upcoming season!
