Welcome to 2022!!

Welcome to 2022!

I feel like this photo perfectly encapsulates where we are right now... one ripe strawberry, a few weed seedlings we haven't pulled out yet, soil that isn't quite there but improving by the day. We're battered, a bit rough around the edges, but still standing. Still farming.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - thank you so much for sticking with me these past two years. It means so much to see names I've seen since the beginning still on the delivery list. If you're just joining us, welcome! Ecosystem Farm has been around since 2016, and since 2020 we've weathered an amazing number of setbacks. By any measure, we should have folded. The community around this farm is incredible.

Here's how things will run this year:

I'll open the week's deliveries on Sundays. You'll have until Tuesday evening at 8pm to make your swaps and customizations. Shares can be picked up Wednesdays at East Point farmers market, Thursdays at Virginia Highlands market, Saturdays at Dunwoody market and Sundays on the farm. If any market is cancelled, we'll drop your share at your door during the market hours. You also have the option of having your share delivered to your home on Sunday evening after the farm pickup window.

We have several farms we're partnering with for this year's kickoff, and you'll see a few more come on board in the coming weeks. In particular, I'm excited to be including beef from Truc Farms, whole chicken from Four Bellies Farm, eggs from Will's Eden and cheeses from Udderly Cool Creamery (starting 5/1). Hopefully we'll be adding oils from Oliver Farms as soon as they get their backordered bottles in, and some flours from local producers as they get their winter crops milled.
