Anyone want a kitten?
We found this little squirt as a storm was coming in at the Wrecking Barn, and then almost immediately realized that Luna's understanding that cats are friends only extended to the cats we live with. Despite being covered in slobber and surrounded by the chaos of big things taking pictures or yelling at the white slobbery dog, this little guy ventured forward when we offered some treats and I scooped him up to take home.
I need a kitten like a hole in the head, but having him around for a week or two is a good way to build on Luna's training to accept all cats. Plus, between the road running through the Wrecking Barn and the predators on the property, I wouldn't put much on his chances of surviving on his own. I'm sure he has siblings, so we'll be on the lookout for them and see if we can catch them for rehoming and mama cat for a spay.
In other news, we're still in a holding pattern waiting for a lease... I can't wait to be able to just put seeds in the ground and grow food! It's been 7 months since I had the security of knowing that I would be able to harvest what I planted.
