Final Farm Share of the Early Winter Season 6 of 6

Posted on December 13th, 2020 by Gail and Maurice Smith

Seasons greetings to y'all.  Having a Christmas store in a greenhouse has been interesting.  Everyday we add something new.  As we have the opportunity we repot plants, make gift ideas, bring in something delicious from a neighbor farmer, create new wreaths and visit with our customers.  Visiting is great.  We have space to spread out and the warmth of the greenhouse with great air circulation.  Saturday, my brother Paul, (who is also a farm share drop site) brought my Mother up for the afternoon.  He works from home and my mother has been stuck in her apartment for months.  Paul searches for safe ways to get Mom out.  We even had supper by the light of Christmas decorations right in the greenhouse.  It was grand.

New traditions are being created every day.  As you create new ideas, hopefully we can fill your boxes with delicious organic food to make it easier.  Check out our amazing local meat selections as well.  Maurice purchased 4 aged 3 bone Prime rib Roasts from Lowry Hill Meats for anyone that does not have the opportunity to visit them.

Being this is the last box for the season we would suggest adding on storage crops like cabbage, all the radishes and root crops.  Call or email for any other future needs as well.  We maybe able to whip you up something.  We will have greens and  produce on hand for we will continue deliveries to the restaurants.  We may take some time off in January to finish the construction in the Red Shed.

Be safe, make new memories during the holiday seasons, keep in touch.  We certainly thank all of you for supporting your local farmer and we hope to continue growing real organic food in 2021.
