Farm Happenings for July 29, 2021

Posted on July 25th, 2021 by Michael Hoke

What a beautiful day! Our vegetables are thriving in the rain and sunshine. We're hoping that the sun sticks around so that our fields dry up. We need dry ground in order to keep up with weeding and field prep. We have some new crops coming up this week. Some of our hot peppers, like jalapenos and shishitos, will be on the pick list. Our celery is finally ready and limited bunches will be available to order as well. It's bean season too! We'll be picking pounds and pounds of green beans for your boxes this week. Our awesome onions, as well as root crops, are abundant right now. Lots of carrots, beets and new potatoes will find their way into shares. Of course, we still have mountains of zucchini coming out of the field - stock up while you can!

From Pfennings, we have broccoli, mushrooms, avocados and bananas. Bluegroves will be supplying us with delicious blueberries for your boxes.

As usual, thank you for your support!
