Farm Happenings for February 19, 2021

Posted on February 14th, 2021 by Michael Hoke

It looks like winter is here to stay for awhile longer! Despite the snow and cold weather, we will still be able to harvest lettuce and spinach from our hoophouses this week. We will also have some delicious arugula, chard and Red Russian kale available from the greenhouse. We've been doing a lot of planning for the upcoming season and making decisions on where we'll be planting your favourite crops. We're keeping extra warm in our greenhouse and hoophouses, harvesting a variety of herbs and greens, as well as preparing space for spring and summer vegetables. Our first peppers, cucumbers, eggplants and tomatoes have been seeded, and we are so looking forward to our greenhouse becoming a jungle again this summer! While we wait patiently for things to warm up, feel free to check out all of the new items available to order. We have many pantry staples like pasta, rice, beans, seeds, jam, canned tomatoes, oil, vinegar and more. Order some oranges and mangoes this week to feel like you're someplace sunny!

As always if you have trouble with your order or have any other questions, please be sure to email support@commongroundfarm.ca or if you prefer to leave a message with us to call you, you can call us at  (519) 913-3785.
