We hope everyone is enjoying their veggies and other delicious goodies from Cherry Valley Organics!  We are so happy to have you as farm share members this season.  We know you have a lot of choices about where to purchase food, and it means everything to us and our small business partners that you have chosen to support our farms.  Thank you!

Are you ready for our September Farm Partner Promo?!?!?

How It Works:

Did you know that September is Hunger Action Month?  Did you also know that CVO has already donated more than 1,000 lbs. of vegetables to people in need this summer?  This September, we will be partnering with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.  For every $10 of farm partner extras sold during the month of September, CVO will donate one organic canned good to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank!  We are setting a goal of 200 cans of organic vegetables!! We can do this with your support!

It's time to stock up on fall items like Pumpkin Butter and Spiced Apple Shrub!

Did you know that we have a Farm Market & Cafe along the Panhandle Trail in Burgettstown?

Come and see us this weekend as we raise awareness for Hunger Action Month!  We are all decked out for fall, and we'll be donating 10% of sales from September 10th, 11th, and 12th to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank!

Updates from the Farm

We hope that everyone has recovered from the storms associated with hurricane Ida.  Despite having to delay Wednesday's deliveries until Thursday, the farm came through the storm unharmed.  Our small but mighty team was able to get Friday harvesting done on Thursday as well as Wednesday's deliveries to keep our Friday and Saturday deliveries on track.  Go Team CVO!  It will take a bit of time for the fields to dry out, but this dry sunny weather will do it!  Our thoughts and positive energy go out to those in your communities who suffered loss as a result of flooding.

As we head into fall here, we'll be switching gears again but not quite yet!  We still have a second round of cucumbers, beans, and squash as well as paste tomatoes that are not quite ready for fall and will be contributing to shares in September.  We will also start distributing our winter squash next week!

Our team is truly grateful for a reprieve from 90 degree temperatures and 90% humidity.  We are ready for this fall-like weather, and we hope it sticks around for a while!

Have a great week everyone, and thank you again for being a farm share member this season!!
