Farm Happenings, Week of 5/30/22

Posted on May 27th, 2022 by Melinda Hollyfield

Hey CSA Family!

We are busy busy busy here at the farm! Spring is in full bloom, and we are working long hours to ensure our land is stewarded to the best of our ability. Summer crops are in the ground, and animals are on fresh pasture. What more can a farmer ask for?

This week, we cut and bailed over 400 bales of hay for winter storage. We are thrilled by the yield and quality from our organically managed hay fields.

We are also rounding out our calving and lambing for the season. We have so many healthy little animals around the farm, we are grateful to our mama cows and ewes for their strength and resilience!

Be sure to check out our "extras". This week, we are offering honey from Strange Honey Farm right here in Tennessee! We are also offering organically raised eggs, and handcrafted and organically grown teas, tinctures, and elixirs from local Nashville herbalist The Healing Oracle Herbal Apothecary. Check them out!

For our Veggie CSA members, here are the organic veggies that you'll find in this week’s CSA box:
