Hey CSA Family!
We hope you’re having a happy chilly end of January!
This week, we separated our boar (male pig) from the sows (mama pigs), and we are preparing for farrowing to start next month! We are installing heat lamps and setting up extra hog panels to make sure our little piglets stay safe and warm as we welcome them in February.
We are also busy planning our crop rotation for the Spring and Summer. It’s gearing up to be an incredible growing season — we are so excited!
Here are the organic veggies that are available for this week’s CSA box:
Tokyo Bekana
Winter Squash
Daikon Radish
Sweet Potatoes
Kohlrabi
Head Lettuce
Beets
Carrots
Asian Greens
During the Summer CSA season, we will offer special items that will be available to add on to your CSA box each week. We’re looking forward to offering eggs, honey, bread, and more! These extra items, which are not certified organic, are grown and produced by awesome community members that we know and love, and whose practices we support!
Reminder: you have from now until Sunday at 8pm to customize your CSA box! We have A LOT of: sweet potatoes, winter squash and beets. Swap or add on these items and stock up for winter!
