After a super hot week we were given some relief with a bunch of rainy days - good news for the 5 beds of lettuce and Italian greens we planted. We covered the beds with shade cloth as they don't tolerate the extreme heat well. We've been turning over some of our summer crops that are on the way out in preparation for more fall plantings. The greenhouse is completely full of fall seedlings including cabbages, broccoli, kale, collards, kohlrabi and more. The tomatoes are beginning to slow down, so be sure to make enjoy them while they last! We're also excited to be sending you fennel for the next few weeks. Try it raw in a salad paired with a citrus or roasted with onions and carrots. Hopefully all these delicious ingredients have you cooking up a storm. What are the best recipes you've tried using our veggies? Send any recipe suggestions our way to info@caneyforkfarms.com!
