Summer is quickly passing by as we transition into August. Fall seeds have been planted in the greenhouse and it's almost time to harvest our winter squashes. It won't be long before we are harvesting chestnuts! In the meantime, we'll continue to enjoy the juicy goodness of summer and savor the tomatoes in each and every meal. This week we have A LOT of extras – you should easily be able to avoid the buying food at the grocery store!

What's in the box:

  • Lettuce
  • Torpedo Onions
  • Dill
  • Peppers
  • Summer Squash
  • Eggplant
  • Tomatoes
  • Parsley
  • Beets

*The harvest list is always tentative! The garden decides what's in the box. 

*Cherry tomatoes will be packaged in a new biodegradable container. Safe to add to your compost pile. 

Extras: So many options this week! Harvie will only allow you to order extras if you have a meat CSA share. This week I will try to accommodate extra orders for Veggie CSA members if you reply to this email, and if inventory allows.

  • Mushrooms - Lions mane and oyster mushrooms from Henosis Mushrooms 
  • Goat Dairy- Goat cheese (chevre), yogurt, and raw milk from The Goat Mother
  • Cow Dairy- Mozzarella, feta, raw chocolate milk and yogurt from Villa Aces 
  • Garlic & Onions- from Villa Acres 
  • Whole Chickens- Pasture raised, Non-GMO chickens from Underground Farmers
  • Bread- Sourdough, Baguettes, Onion Focaccia from Lillian St. Bread
  • Honey- Sourwood, Light, and Dark Wildflower honey from TN Artisan Honey
  • Microgreens- from Greener Roots
