Our computer platform, Harvie, will probably still say Friday pickup 4-6pm; it is difficult to change pickup date's details since this is usually a reoccurring weekly date. So, if the program still says, Friday 4-6pm, please ignore it and know that it is Thursday 4-6pm this week.
We're having some cold winter weather, and the Friday forecast is looking a bit dicey for driving. Better safe than sorry- don't want lots of people to not be able to make it Friday with potentially icy roads after we have put all the work into harvesting fresh vegetables with a shelf life and having to arrange make up dates.
The harvest is a bit different this week- we're primarily harvesting from our heated greenhouses and a few unheated hoophouses that we left covered and standing for the snow. We uncovered the plastic roof covering from 4 unheated hoophouses to prevent collapse of the metal frame from the snow, so now those uncovered crops are under a blanket of snow.
We'll be harvesting very quickly tomorrow to move up our harvest, wash, organize, and pack process by 1 day.
