Crunch time!

Posted on November 9th, 2021 by Marie Williamson

Less daylight everyday, but our veggies got to grow with the sun in September and October, so they're going to start "coasting" a bit.  Naomi, our Assistant Garden Manager, is pictured above harvesting sweet and crunchy red round radishes from one of our high tunnels.  We covered over 25 beds of veggies with fiberglass hoops and frost blankets to protect them from our 1st heavy frost.  We fully drained all freeze sensitive irrigation parts last week, but we didn't even get down below freezing. Lots of work, but the sweet, fresh veggies are worth it. We're thankful for the beautiful sunshine and healthy crops and a great harvest for our great members!
