Adapt and Grow

Posted on October 5th, 2021 by Marie Williamson

What does supporting a farm where you know your farmers mean to you? My name is Marie Williamson, and I'm the person behind emails and updates that people receive from our farm. What does it mean to grow food for people? It means everything to me. William and I are grateful that you care about our farm and are supporting our work through membership commitments to our farm food and good flavors. We are using an online platform, Harvie, to help customize your selection of food from our farm. We are not a online wholesaler or grocery that ships to your door. I am one of the 5 people that works fulltime to plant, water, grow, set up fences, plant cover crops, birth piglets, transfer 2,000 pounds of feed 30 pounds at a time, train 300 hens to roost in 1 place and lay in another, fix fences, keep waterers filled and fresh, train 500 pound sows to ride on a trailer, mow, weed, harvest, wash, organize, pack, and get our farm's food to you, while improving the land each year.
