HELLO Carmen peppers!

-All the veggies and meats have different values- some are lower and some are higher depending on type and size of the items that I put into the program's harvest selection.

-There is a box value alert at the top of your screen if you have more credit for this week- a green bar that says you can add more items to your share/box.

-The other customizing tip that I have noticed that helps members, is to keep adding items to your box until your shopping cart's total is just over your share's price...for example if you have a $25 regular veggie share, go over the box value by $1-3...so about $25.50 or $26.30 or something like that.  That green bar with the box value alert should go away at that time.-----

Carmen peppers have a complex, deep, sweet flavor...You really have to try these sweet Italian frying peppers to appreciate their flavors.  It's hard to describe how good any of our sweet peppers can taste. Just taste and see! We are trooping away at cleaning up certain summer beds and clearing back thick crabgrass that has crept in despite our best efforts to keep up with the rampant growth of all living plants around us.  We farmers anticipate loss and work and renewal; a good number of our little baby fall transplants didn't make it through the intense sun and heat and a bad soil fungus, but Naomi took little replacement plants throughout the 1500 feet of fall field plants and re-planted and watered the new little ones in with a nutritious blend of fish emulsion, earthworm compost tea, and water. We need to plant despite the heat, because the days are growing shorter, and we need the plants to get growing before short daylength slows them down. We might not move as fast as we could in cool weather, but the endurance pace we've got going on, the hard work of our farm crew, combined with William and my best efforts to prioritize our flow of daily and weekly work is helping us stay ahead of the green growth from our plentiful rainfall.  Enjoy the fresh farm food and be kind to folks out there in the wild, busy world! Your farmers, Marie and William
