Farm Happenings for May 7, 2021

Posted on May 3rd, 2021 by Marie Williamson

Thank you for joining our farm for 2021. Happy Spring! We appreciate your support and enjoyment of good farm food, and our farm depends on our customers' weekly support. We're in full swing of spring farm work with great views of the mountains coming to life, green grass in the pastures, and tender, fluttering tree leaves along the farm road.  The harvests of beautiful early season vegetables were planted as early as the beginning of February in our unheated hoophouses with frost blankets to protect plants from cold damage.  Our field planted baby kale, cilantro, and bok choy plants have doubled in size with last weekend's glorious spring sun, and a healthy amount of water from our drip irrigation. Will they double in size again by harvest day with this week's rain?

Enjoy the harvest!
