Veg Farm Happenings for May 26, 2020

Posted on May 27th, 2020 by Rae Strobel Barr

Welcome to the first delivery of the 2020 season!   It has been a wild spring for us here.   High demand, late freezes, cloudy cool weather, and a wet, WET May.   Some of these challenges are just a part of farming, and others are new to us.   We are glad to have the security of the CSA membership.   We want to support you with good organic veggies this season as you all continue to support us!

This weeks share options includes: Strawberries!, a few types of kale, lettuce, Swiss chard, garlic scapes, scallions and sunflower micro greens.  Shiitake Mushrooms are also available as an add-on.

This weeks share will be delivered in new tote bags which you are welcome to keep.   We won't be reusing any of our tote bags as packaging this season due to Covid concerns.  But next week the shares will start to come in simple cardboard boxes that can be recycled!    Any instructions about how to pickup your share specifically for your drop site will come in the second email letting you know that your share is being packed.   In the meantime, here is a blog post about how to take care of yourself and others at CSA pickup this season.  We are excited to get things started!
