Greetings lovely farm share members! What a wonderful cool, clear awesome for -fall -fruit- ripening day we are having. A thank you to our renewing 2020 berry/fruit fans. Please also give a fruitful welcome to our several first time farm share members. Tip for this week: schedule a family taste testing for the 2 apples with crisp in their name...who likes which one and why...The colors, aroma, textures, sweet or tart flavors, juiciness, crunch?
It is as if the weather timed itself perfectly with the start of our fall season. I hope you all have been enjoying your berries, apples and cider as we enter cooler days and early nights.
This week's standard share will hold 2 half pints of our own Hanover-grown red raspberries- supporting several new fall harvest workers, 1 quart ( about 2-2.25 lb) of Honey Crisp Apples plus 1 quart of Crimson Crisp apples also grown by Chris Baugher and his 5 generation orcharding family. Swaps available are Asian pears and Muscadine grapes.
Extras this week include Apple Cider, Agriblend Oat Bars, Stargell's Apiaries Honey, and Apple Butter!
