Welcome to Week 5
I would like to express my gratitude to all of you who have supported our project. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to donate fresh vegetables to a local food bank that serves 80 families in the Rexdale area.
Our field tomatoes have been planted, and this week, we will be planting eggplants and other hot-weather crops in the greenhouse.
However, the weather has been very unpredictable lately, causing some difficulties in growing certain crops. Our sugar snap peas have been affected by low temperatures and sudden spikes in temperature, making it challenging to produce a good crop this season. Despite this setback, we are still seeing flowers which is a positive sign.
Thank you again for your support and we will continue to do our best to provide fresh and healthy produce to you and to those in need.
