Farm Happenings for June 7, 2023

Posted on June 3rd, 2023 by Jessey Njau

This season's weather has been incredibly unpredictable, with extreme heat and cold cycles changing rapidly. As a result, the fields have been suffering from thirst, and we have resorted to using shade cloth to protect the leafy greens from the scorching sun. It's so hot that even the arugula has become super spicy!

To educate and demystify urban farming, we have started conducting workshops for schools at the farm. We welcome any school interested in learning about this, so please refer us to them if you know any. Thank you for your continued support this season.

Join me every Wednesday as we explore valuable insights and inspiration from my favorite book, The Unsettling of America. I'll be sharing my personal takeaways from the book, whether it's a guide or a source of inspiration. Don't miss out on this weekly opportunity to learn and grow with me!
