We are getting all the weather this week! But between the snow and showers I'll be able to get out and harvest lovely fresh greens- lettuce mix, spinach, kale and arugula. The sun came out today! Hallelujah! I am way thankful. It was a long frozen spell. Yesterday began the planting season for 2023- garlic, favas, and daffodils all got planted just in the nick of pre-rainstorm time.
Today I harvested extra salad turnips and greens in preparation for the temperature to drop.

Farm Happenings for November 1, 2022
This was a gift of a week on the farm. The soaking rain over the weekend germinated covercrop and watered in the transplants for our early spring flowers. The change in the season is happening today.
We've been hustling to get the last of the cover crop seed down and spring flower transplants in the ground before the rain comes.
