Farm Happenings for July 20, 2022

Posted on July 16th, 2022 by Trent Loewen

A few days of heat and sun have made quite a difference! New for this week are potatoes, Swiss chard, kale, kohlrabi, and zucchini. The tomatoes are just starting to ripen and the carrots should be ready next week. Also coming soon are broccoli, cabbage, snap peas, and garlic scapes. Thank you for your patience these first few weeks, as a number of our crops have been slow this year, largely because June was so cool and wet.

Your box will be built automatically with only produce in it but everything else is available to swap in. Besides the produce, there is grass-fed beef from Barnes Creek Ranch, pasture-raised eggs, sauerkraut, fresh baking (baked by my Mom), handmade soap from The Sudsy Llama, and our homemade ranch dressing.

As always, if you have any trouble with swapping or anything else, you’re welcome to call/text or email. Trent - 306-883-8832, Lois - 306-883-9289. Also the folks at Harvie are happy to help, reach them at support@harvie.farm.

Have a great week!
