Flowers and Fruit

Posted on July 10th, 2020 by Val Tachenko

How is it the end of another week already?! The days are long, but the weeks fly by! Anyway, Zeb finally got his flowers planted in the ground this past week! This past winter Zeb decided all on his own that he wanted to sell flowers at farmers market this year. His parents and his Nana want to encourage his entrepreneurial spirit as much as possible. So his parents bought a book on flowers, we all planted flower seeds this past spring, and now the plants are finally in the ground! The plants have been bursting at the seems in the greenhouse for several weeks, but those poor flowers have not been top priority around here until now. Zeb will not get to learn the importance of weeding and watering (and so will his parents, haha). Stay tuned for Zeb's flower bouquets! Let us know if that's something you'd be interested in and we may just try adding it somehow.

The fruit shares start this week!!! Y'all the peaches taste so good.  You bite into them and you're like, "Wow that is the peachest tasting peach ever!". We will also have cherries this week. Cherries signify summer for us! The kids look forward to cherry season every year.  We have over sixty shares of fruit starting this week. We've never had that many folks sign up for fruit shares, so please be patient with us as we navigate fruit shares in addition to everything else.

And y'all... we just have to say yet again... we are so thankful for our hard working crew! It's just so incredible that they are picking this produce and it's in your hands or on your doorstep the same day that it's picked!

As always, thanks for trusting us to meet your fruit and/or veggie needs!
