Farm Happenings for CSA week 4

CSA week 4

It's taken us four weeks, but we finally took a picture of the variety of produce that is going in the CSA boxes. This time of year it's still mostly greens. Pretty soon there will be more pops of color from tomatoes (my favorite), peppers, etc..

The weather has been all over the place this past week. We even had a little bit of hail. And the wind has been furious. We are very thankful for the moisture even if it slows us down a bit. Someone wise once said that it's futile to complain about the weather, and we agree. Plus the cooler/wetter weather means less/no snakes!

We're really starting to get a rhythm as far as packing boxes, doing deliveries, and keeping the garden going. We are so thankful for our hard working crew who help make everything happen each week.

We had two more sign ups for our CSA shares, and we are just in awe of the amount of sign ups we've had this year. We are so thankful that so many people are trusting us to meet their produce needs. It's not a responsibility we take lightly! So thank you for choosing our farm!

Well I better tuck the chickens in for the night. Have a great weekend!
