We're getting into the HOT season crops now, like okra, which is drought-tolerant and actually likes the heat. We also have eggplant this week from Fisher Family Farms in Slick, Oklahoma. Peppers should arrive soon, but not this week.
But plants aside, this extreme heat is testing the limits of farmers across the region, who have no choice but to work outside during this peak harvest season.
