Trumpeter Swan Farm CSA News - Summer, Week 7, July 13 thru July 15

---- Quail Eggs ----

Trying to spread around the quail eggs. Let me know if you have not been able to pick quail eggs yet (reply to this email). We'll make sure you get a dozen in the next few weeks. We get 1 dozen quail eggs per day, so only 7 doz a week. If you get eggs, make sure to get the egg scissors - a lot easier to open eggs.

---- Snap and Shell Peas ----

Because of the hot weather snap and shell peas have shortened season this year but they should stick around for at least a couple weeks. Snap peas are edible pod so the can be eaten raw straight of the fridge. For shell peas I personally like to steam them and then crack them open and enjoy as finger food.

---- Last of the Bok Choi (for a bit) ----

If you like bok choi, which I do, this week might be the last chance for a month or so. I personally love to stir fry it with broccoli, green onions, snap peas, chicken, and some sauce mixed in (I use homemade sweet and sour). Served along side some white rice it makes an easy dinner
