Trumpeter Swan Farm CSA News - Summer, Week 5, June 29 thru July 1
---- A Bit of Rain ----
At the farm we received about 0.30" of rain over the weekend. Now while this is a welcome sprinkle it is no where near the amount of rain we need to pull us out of this drought. Until we receive more rain we will continue watering and keep the plants happy.
---- White Turnips ----
You'll notice that you might have received white turnips in your box. If you know what purple turnips are you'll know the gist of white turnips already, but the one key difference is that white turnips are so much sweeter and a bit moister. They store well in the fridge so don't worry about leaving them in there for a bit.
