Howdy All! The excess rain is certainly having its effects on some of our crops. The good news is that I have a wide variety of veggies growing to make up for any that aren't doing well in the sopping soil. We are still pushing ahead with some new plantings to replace anything that doesn't survive all... read more »

Howdy All! Temperatures seem to be rising and that means good news for some crops but bad for others. Our winter and early spring crops are coming to an end with the last couple harvests happening over the next week. The summer crops are really enjoying the heat though! I've spotted a handful of banana... read more »

Howdy All! This week's focus is on harvesting and drying our onion crop for the year. We planted over 8,000 onions with a 50/50 mix of Red Creole and Texas Legend sweet onions. As you have probably noticed, we have been including them in the CSA for a few weeks now. These are the final weeks of our... read more »

Farm Happenings for May 5, 2021

Howdy All! It's been a soggy few days out at the farm! While excess rain isn't typically good for the fields, everything seems to be draining well and I was happy to see that the beans, winter squash, cantaloupe, and watermelon seeds that I planted have germinated and weren't washed away. The farm continues... read more »
