Your first box is almost here! We're very excited as this is something we plan for and think about pretty much all year. Each week, on Monday evening, you'll receive an email detailing what is coming your way and you will have till Wednesday at 6 a.m. to make adjustments (swaps, extras, location changes and rescheduling).

You'll also get this little thing called a Happening, which tells you what is going on at the farm, things to remember, recipes from us and more, so we would love it if you read through what we put together for you, or at least skim for the bits that are really important if you're short on time.

In order of the title:

Uproot Offering:  We wanted to let you know that Uproot Food Collective is offering a 10% discount for all online orders that our customers picking up at their location make for pick up with their shares on Saturdays! Just use the code SUNDOG2022. They have a wonderful selection of locally produced goods, so definitely check it out!

Payment this Week:  A heads up that the second 25% payment plus the first portion of the remaining 50% will be charged to you this week. If you add any extras or swap for items that are a greater value, those charges will be added to your payment as well. Your up front commitment to our farm is incredibly valuable to us. We are very grateful!

The Garlic Scape Recipe that will Change Your Life:  Last week I accidentally created this recipe when I charred some garlic scapes that I'd meant to gently grill. Use around 7-8 scapes and grill them until they are softened and quite charred. Chop them and using some sort of food processor, blitz them with 1/3 cup of cream cheese, 1/3 cup creamy unsweetened yogurt and a pinch of salt. (these measurements are approximate because of course I didn't actually measure:) We ate ours with new beets that had also been grilled to sweet and tender perfection, but honestly it was good enough that we were also just eating it by the spoonful.

Have a wonderful week!
