Mix of Summer and Fall

Posted on October 19th, 2021 by Ron Meyer

We haven’t had frost yet, but it’s feeling more like fall these days. We always enjoy the deep blue sky in October. It reminds us of Colorado, where we have often visited Ron’s aunt and uncle.

In the gardens, we have a mix of summer and fall crops. We still have a good number of tomatoes (unusual for this late in October!), peppers, beets, salad mix and romaine, and even flowers. Then we have the usual fall crops like potatoes, kale, onions, sweet potatoes, and butternut squash. We also are listing garlic, mint tea mix, and fresh herbs, plus grass-fed beef, eggs, raspberry and strawberry jam, and local honey.

Next week will be our last weekly delivery of the season. Starting in November we will deliver every two or three weeks. You will still be notified by email when our farm stand is open. If you aren’t interested in getting deliveries over the winter, you can just ignore the email messages. Or we think there is a way to notify Harvie that you don’t want to receive them.
