Raspberry Jam Is in Stock!

Posted on September 15th, 2020 by Ron Meyer

The fall red raspberry crop is in full swing. Chris and Erin have been busy picking the berries, and Mary and Chris have been making raspberry jam. Our biggest problem this year is finding good canning lids! We did manage to find some and are offering red raspberry jam this week at our online farm stand.

Also on the list this week are heirloom and regular tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cilantro, onions, arugula, red and golden beets, kale, sweet and poblano peppers, romaine lettuce, and much more.

If you've never tasted fresh salsa, you should try this recipe. It's simple and delicious.

Fresh Salsa (Salsa Cruda)

2 medium tomatoes
1 small onion
¼ green pepper
1 hot pepper (to taste), de-seeded
Salt
1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro

Chop the tomatoes with the onion and peppers. Sprinkle with a little salt and stir in the juice and cilantro. Serve with tortilla chips or nachos.
