Farm Happenings for October 1, 2019 - Winter Share, Bulk Garlic, Carrots, Potatoes and Corn

Posted on September 29th, 2019 by Mike Kozlowski

Hi! I hope you are staying warm. For some of you pick up bi-weekly this will be your last of the season. I hope that we have been a part of you eating a cleaner diet full of nutritious food.

I have some exciting announcements:

  1. We have enough root crops to run a winter program. I still have a few details to firm up but I am thinking that it will run from the first week of November to the week of Christmas. I will send you all more info as soon as I am ready.
  2. This week we have bulk garlic for sale in our extras section. This garlic is cured and should last you into the heart of winter. I'm selling 1 lb for $12. There are about 5-7 bulbs per lb depending on the size.
  3. I am also adding bulk carrots and potatoes to the extras list. The carrots will be washed but the potatoes will be unwashed so that they last longer. I'm hoping you will be able to load up on these to last you until the beginning of November when the winter share starts.
  4. I had a chance to buy some awesome sweet corn from my friend Kristen Graves from Fifth Generation Gardens by Wetaskiwin this weekend. I'm selling that for $1/cob.

See you soon!
