Your order is ready to customize and Italian-Themed Pasta Night meal inspiration

Here is a quick and simple meal plan for the coming week. I hope it helps you, at least one night this week, to not have to spend too much time planning a meal. 

 

Italian-Themed Pasta Night


Main Dish: Hearty Sourdough Pasta with Beef and Tomato Sauce

  • Ingredients: Extra Lean Grass Finished Ground Beef, Kaslo Sourdough Classic Linguini, Beefsteak Tomatoes, Cooking Onions, Garlic, Organic Italian Blend Herbs, Herbes de Provence Chevre (for garnish), Olive Oil (assuming you have this basic ingredient).
  • Preparation:
    • Start by sautéing chopped onions and minced garlic in oil of your choice in a large pan until the onions are translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
    • Add the ground beef to the pan with the onions and garlic. Cook until the beef is thoroughly browned.
    • Blend beefsteak tomatoes to create a fresh tomato sauce and add it to the pan with the browned beef, onions, and garlic.
    • Season with the Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer.
    • Meanwhile, boil water and cook the sourdough linguini until al dente.
    • Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the sauce. Toss to combine.
    • Garnish with crumbled Herbes de Provence Chevre before serving.

Side: Green Kale and Microgreens Salad

  • Ingredients: Green Kale, Microgreens Sampler Pack, Mini Cucumbers, Red Grape Tomato, Sylvan Star Aged Gouda (shredded), Lemon Vinaigrette (lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper).
  • Preparation:
    • Chop kale into bite sized bits. Place in bowl, sprinkle with a touch of salt and some olive oil. Vigorously massage kale to soften it.
    • Add sliced mini cucumbers, halved grape tomatoes and microgreens
    • Dress the salad with the lemon vinaigrette and top with shredded aged Gouda.

 

Home Delivery Orders: 

If you get your orders home delivered we very much want to make sure that your products are not freezing. If you didn't see the email I send earlier this week please read the summarized notes below: 

  • Winter Delivery Precautions: To ensure your Steel Pony orders arrive in perfect condition, especially in chilly weather, please place a cooler with a warm water bottle outside your home if you'll be away during our delivery hours (3-5 pm). This simple step prevents freezing and guarantees the freshness of your products upon arrival.

  • Delivery Time Variations: Our team is adjusting to the winter season, leading to slight variations in delivery times. Staff transitions may cause deliveries to be a bit earlier or later than usual. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this period.

 

Updates & Reminders

  • Referral Program: Did you know we have a referral program? Refer a new customer, and both of you get a $25 credit! Check out the easy steps here
  • Customization Cut-off Time: Remember, your box is open for customization until this Sunday at 10:00 pm. Take a peek at your items and make any adjustments needed.

Remember, any orders not picked up within 24 hours after the pick-up window will be thoughtfully used or donated to minimize waste.
