Farm Happenings for July 17, 2018

Posted on July 13th, 2018 by Mike Kozlowski

Hello!

It's been a transition week at the farm. The week of July 9th was our first week of real harvest. This means that we move from primarily spending our days weeding, to primarily spending our days bunching, cutting, washing and bagging. We still have a goal of keeping the farm tidy and free from weeds that inhihibit growth of our vegetables, but now instead of having 5 days a week to do so, we have about 1.5 days. So we're hustling a bit more than normal and it has felt great to see produce coming out of the field after about 10 weeks of work in the garden this spring.

If you pick up bi-weekly and this is your first food box - welcome! I hope you enjoy!

If you picked up last week, I hope you enjoyed and have space in your fridge for more!

I encourage you to use our platform Harvie to make this experience the best you can. Customize your box, set your vacation schedule, make sure that these veggies are working for you, and not the other way around.

Look forward to seeing you at Heritage Ranch! We will be parked just inside of the main gates in a white truck and trailer.

Your farmer,

Mike
