Posted on September 3rd, 2023 by Diane Riehm
Farmer Phil's TOP 5 this week!

These LOOK healthy!
* TASTE oh-so good!
* Harvesting PLENTY right NOW!

1. Kohlrabi- Part of the cabbage family and has a mild and somewhat sweet taste. Cut and eat raw in salads, steamed, sautéed, roasted, tossed in slaws/soups and stews. The possibilities are endless!

2. Fennel- Highly recommended and so tasty right nowHas a sweet taste similar to licorice. Eat raw, roasted, cooked in salads, stews, soups, and pasta dishes.

3. Eggplant - High in Antioxidants and contains a variety of vitamins and minerals. Add to your menu today! Be sure to check out Chef Gretchen's Easy Cheesy Grilled Eggplant recipe and get cooking!

4. Tomatoes - Enjoy tomato season while it's still here!  Nothing says summer better than a fresh picked juicy tomato!

5. Onions - Keep these on hand to jazz up sandwiches and salads or to add to your favorite recipes!

Looking Ahead...

* Act now and get Sweet Peppers while we still have them! Our sweet pepper season will be short, so be sure to snag these up!

* Stock up on Hamburger/10 count patties! Keep your freezer stocked with hamburger patties for an easy dinner on those busy weekday nights!

Cabbage is in peak season right now!  Get your hands on our many varieties of cabbage while you still can!

ONLY ONE (1) MORE WEEK to get your reservation in for our Farm to Tea event!
