Posted on August 24th, 2023 by Diane Riehm
Update from April 1st...

LISTEN to the phenomenal video below on the effective ways we began to reduce damage by harmful insects.

BEFORE: On April 1, 2023

Aphid, White Flies and Late Blight were diverted creating healthy plants instead for the WIN!!

A BIG SHOUT OUT to Bridget Kauble for giving us this wonderful source to keep the plant's immune system STRONG!

AFTER: August 21, 2023

 Farmer Phil's TOP 5 this week!
These LOOK healthy!
* TASTE oh-so good!
* Harvesting PLENTY right NOW!

1.  Sweet corn - Freezing sweet corn is a great way to have a taste of Summer all Winter long. If you have one or two cooked ears left over, cut the kernels off the cob and freeze for later.

2.  Standard Red / Roma Tomatoes - It's canning season! Now is the time to fill your pantry with canned tomatoes and sauces so you can enjoy locally grown tomatoes through those long winter months.

3.  Candy Onions - Are sweet and mild. These are great eaten raw, on sandwiches, lightly cooked in salsa, stir fried or added to your favorite recipes.

4.  Mixed Sweet Peppers - These are full of flavor and taste great eaten raw as a quick, healthy snack.

5.  Pineapple Tomatillo -
These can be added to salads or eaten as a snack. Pineapple tomatillos are a fun twist on an old snack. Remove the husk and start popping!
