Farm Happenings (#19 DELIVERY SUMMER out of 20)

Posted on September 29th, 2022 by Diane Riehm

Farmer Phil's TOP 5 from the field this week!

* These LOOK very healthy!
* TASTE
 oh-so good!
* Harvesting PLENTY right NOW!

1. Cherry tomatoes - Enjoy now! They are coming to an end soon.
2. Sweet potatoes - Uncured (leave on the counter at room temperature) they are comfortable at 70 degrees. Do NOT refrigerate!
3. Bosc Pears - Famous for their warm cinnamon color. Sweet, juicy flavor with hints of fall spices like cinnamon and nutmeg.
4Butternut Squash - Sweet nutty taste similar to that of a pumpkin.
5. T-Bone Steak- Smaller than the porterhouse steak, but delivers the same optimal tenderness and satisfying flavor. Grill or broil in the oven. Steak! It's what's for dinner!

EAT with the season to grab the most NUTRITION!

Farmer Phil is figuring it all out!

He is verifying who needs to grab their boxes yet off the back of the truck. Phil also noticed we are missing some of our packing supplies.

Please remember to return your Ice packs, Boxes and Silver Bags THIS WEEK!!!
