Farm Happening (6th DELIVERY SUMMER out of 20)

Posted on June 29th, 2022 by Diane Riehm

Your savoy cabbage leaves have a distinctively wrinkled appearance.

Savoy varieties are milder-flavored than regular green cabbage, but the two can be used interchangeably in recipes

One of Farmer Phil's favorite ways is to use it as a healthy wrap. Fill with things like lettuce, cheese, and meats like chicken or hamburger, then chop in some herbs.

He thinks rice and pork could taste delicious wrapped in savoy leaves.

TIP, Great way to get kids (and hubby) to eat more veggies...
Kale can be de-stemmed, washed and frozen. Later puree and add it to spaghetti sauce. Your kids will never know the difference.

Warmly,
Phil, John & Diane Riehm
