We'll be harvesting lots of heads and loose leaf lettuce this week.

What does lettuce do for your body?

Lettuce is a source of vitamin K, which helps strengthen bones. Consuming adequate amounts of vitamin K can also reduce your risk of bone fracture. Water makes up over 95% of raw lettuce. As a result, eating lettuce hydrates the body.

Is lettuce good for dogs?

In general, yes. Lettuce does not contain anything that can really harm your dog. After all, it is 90 percent water. It's also a low-calorie snack that could be a good training treat for an overweight dog.

Lettuce... also mention that last Saturday 11/20 we emailed you a great video recipe to TRY with brussels. You can WATCH IT AGAIN HERE

Let us emphasize... that Buying Local all year-round means giving someone in the community, OUR community the chance to provide for their families.

Our Tiffin Mayor said it best!

"When you buy from a small business, you are not helping a CEO buy a third vacation home. You are helping a little girl get dance lessons, a little boy get his team jersey, a mom put food on the table, a dad pay a mortgage or a student pay for college".

Warmly,
